As the visionary founder of the Urban Alliance for Clean Energy (UACE), Michael leads a passionate team in promoting and accelerating the adoption of clean energy solutions in disadvantaged communities. Through strategic partnerships with elected officials and community leaders, UACE aims to empower these communities by providing workforce development opportunities and fostering a transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
Michael's expertise extends beyond his advocacy work. During his time as a senior political appointee in the Obama administration, he spearheaded various initiatives focused on improving public health outcomes, ensuring transportation equity, developing sustainable communities, environmental justice, and championing small businesses.
With a diverse academic background in economics, public policy, urban and regional planning, as well as energy innovation and emerging technologies, Michael brings a multidisciplinary approach to his work. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of South Carolina, an MPA in Public Policy from North Carolina Central University, and has studied Urban and Regional Planning at Georgetown University and Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies at Stanford University.
